Please meet with me for about 20-30 minutes sometime by Wednesday, 28 Apr, to show me what you have already for your final project.
If you want to do a project and contribute it to Sage so that it can be used by the worldwide mathematical community, I've listed a few numerical analysis ideas: http://wiki.sagemath.org/devel/SageTasks#Numerical.
When I do use software in class, I will probably use Sage, which is based on the free industry-standard language Python. You can access Sage for free on the internet. Sage includes a number of cutting-edge numerical libraries.
I've collected a number of links to online resources dealing with this class and other classes at Teaching Resources.
