Honors section, meeting during 8-8:50 AM on MTRF in 0002 Carver.

The department Calculus page is at http://orion.math.iastate.edu/calculus/. There are finals from previous semesters there.

The math help room is located in 385 Carver. The hours are listed on the website: http://orion.math.iastate.edu/dept/HelpRoom.html

The class Sage server is at https://sage.math.iastate.edu:2650/. You can create an account there or just browse the published worksheets. When you create an account, please do *not* use a password that you use elsewhere (there are no guarantees about the safety of the passwords, though they are encrypted and I have tried secure things tightly).

You may see an error about SSL when you access the website and you will have an opportunity to make a security exception. It is okay to make an exception in this case.

If for some reason you cannot access the class Sage server, you can always use the free public server at http://www.sagenb.org.

I will be using some or all of the following software packages. You can get Matlab for free from the university and you can get Sage free on the internet.

**Matlab**: For instructions to install your free student copy, go to http://www.it.iastate.edu/matlab/student/**Octave**: Open-source free software that is an alternative to Matlab. The homepage is http://www.octave.org and you can download versions for Windows at http://downloads.sourceforge.net/octave/octave-3.0.0-setup.exe or Mac at http://downloads.sourceforge.net/octave/octave-3.0.0-i386.dmg (intel) or http://downloads.sourceforge.net/octave/octave-3.0.0-ppc.dmg (powerpc). Linux versions can be obtained from the homepage or from your linux distribution.**Sage**: Open-source free math software that is aiming to replace several different leading math packages. You can download this from http://www.sagemath.org and you can use it freely at http://www.sagenb.org**Mathematica**: Commercial math software from http://www.wolfram.com. This costs about $150 for a student license, I believe. It's some pretty amazing software.
